• From a mineralogical perspecitve, Bumblebee Jasper is a unique formation composed mainly of a mixture of volcanic matter and various minerals. It is not actually a true jasper, as it lacks the microcrystalline structure typically associated with jaspers. The vivid yellow, orange, and black banding or patterns in Bumblebee Jasper are primarily caused by sulfur, arsenic, and other trace minerals present in the stone. It is typically opaque and exhibits a glossy or matte finish.
• There are concerns regarding the safety of Bumblebee Jasper because it contains potentially toxic elements such as arsenic and sulfur, which can be released as airborne particles or through direct contact when the stone is cut or polished.  However as a polished or tumbled stone, bumblebee jasper poses minimal risk and can be safely used in spiritual practices or as a decorative item.
