Peach moonstone is a variety of orthoclase feldspar with a warm, soft peach to light apricot body color, often with subtle beige or golden undertones. The most striking feature of moonstone is the way it shines, an effect called adularescence—this soft sheen is caused by light scattering across microscopic layers of feldspar and albite.
