Kunzite is a pink variety of spodumene, first discovered in the United States, now sourced mainly in Brazil, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Madagascar. It was named in honor of mineralogist and gemologist George Frederick Kunz (1856 -1932) who worked all his life for the jewelry company Tiffany & Co.

This gemstone is highly prized both in the realm of mineralogy as well as the spiritual community. It has been attributed properties related to the Divine Feminine, gentleness and trust.
