Moss Agate Palmstone

A natural, polished moss agate palmstone. Moss agate is a semi-precious gemstone that is a form of chalcedony, which is a microcrystalline variety of quartz. It is composed of silicon dioxide (SiO₂) and includes green-colored minerals that form patterns resembling moss or plant life. The base of the stone is typically colorless or milky white, and the green inclusions are usually oxides of manganese or iron. Moss agate is not a true agate because it lacks the concentric banding characteristic of agates.
